Upon deciding to create and publish a family tree, I chose this site to record the data because I believe it can be available for family use, yet remain secure. (Privacy level is 'high.') Please critque for accuracy and forward additions. (Excuse any errors.) I am still learning my way around the site, so my instructions to you are basic. I am the Administrator / Webmaster and think I am the only person who can 'Edit.'
To comminicate with me only, use 'contact me' in the above paragraph. (Unfortunately, I haven't figured out where these messages go. I thought my email - but not so far.) Maybe it is best that you communicate with me directly thru my regular email: g2g180@hotmail.com. I will try to update daily. If you want to communicate to all family members in an 'open' forum, sign in the "Guest Book." (Please do so.)
As you will notice, in-law and extended family info is gladly acepted. I just created titles in the Custom Event pulldowns. Up to now, I have been using these pulldowns for random information, thus I will be re-entering that information in the correct event boxes. I am going to record sources eventually. Specific census data will be recorded as a story.
Remember, this is a 'work' in-progress. Hopefully, you will enjoy looking around and support me in this effort to be all inclusive. For now, I am 'inviting' siblings and their extended families. After I get the immediate family correctly entered, I will begin to invite cousins for their families information.

Love, Raylene

PS: You will notice some of the more distant relatives have a 'slashed' name. That is my attempt to keep family groups together for clarity and to acknowledge spelling changes that took place over the years..

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
